PHLEBOTOMIST
Physicians Reference Laboratory is currently looking for experienced phlebotomists to join our team. Full and part-time inpatient or outpatient positions are available throughout the Kansas City metro.
ASCP certified phlebotomists are encouraged to apply. Must have a minimum of one year experience drawing patients of all ages to qualify for consideration.
Job Description
- Performing accurate specimen collection on inpatients of all ages.
- Processing computer generated orders for laboratory tests to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection.
- Processing specimens received in the main laboratory and distributing them to appropriate department for testing.
- Troubleshooting specimen and order problems.
- Covering call duties as scheduled, and reporting as required.
- Attending all required department, sectional and safety meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of previous phlebotomy experience (ASCP certification preferred).
- Working knowledge of computer operations and keyboard skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
